Shots fired in early-morning incident on Queensway

No one was injured and Prince George RCMP are looking for a dark-coloured SUV in connection to the incident.

The 2200-block of Queensway is seen on Thursday afternoon. Prince George RCMP are investigating, after multiple reports of gunshots were reported early Thursday morning.

Shortly before 6 a.m. on Thursday, Prince George RCMP received multiple reports of shots being fired in the 2200-block of Queensway.

Frontline RCMP officers flooding into the area, but were unable to locate a suspect. No injuries have been reported in the incident.

“Video surveillance from the area shows a dark-coloured SUV fleeing the neighbourhood at the time of the incident,” RCMP spokesperson Cpl. Jennifer Cooper said. “Police are asking for anyone with who saw a vehicle matching this description or with video surveillance in this area, to contact police by calling the non- emergency line at 250-561-3300. Please quote file number 2022-26799.”

The investigation is in the early stages, and RCMP are asking anyone with information regarding the incident to come forward by calling Prince George RCMP.
