Women's health programs in the region got a boost Tuesday, thanks to Pine Centre Shoppers Drug Mart's annual Tree of Life campaign.
The local branch of the national pharmacy chain donated $2,860 to the Spirit of the North Healthcare Foundation, with the money directed to various women's health programs.
We appreciate Shoppers Drug Mart's commitment to improving women's health through dedicated donations to Spirit of the North, Spirit of the North CEO Judy Neiser said in a news release. Their leadership and generosity in this area is very exciting and we value their commitment immensely."
The Tree of Life campaign takes place each fall and gives employees, customers and store owners at Shoppers Drug Mart the chance to contribute to women's health programs.
Combined, all the Prince George Shoppers Drug Mart locations raised more than $6,500.
