A man with a long record of sexually touching young girls has been sentenced to a further 309 days behind bars after he showed signs of turning back to his old ways while living in a Prince George halfway house.
While committing several of those offences, Ricky Bruce Gordon, 53, either wore a diaper or placed a diaper on his victim and, in September 2014, he raised suspicions when he was seen dumpster diving.
In the past, Gordon had obtained diapers from dumpsters, Provincial Court Judge Shannon Keyes noted in a reasons for sentence, and that led to a search of his room where a garbage bag he insisted on placing in the garbage himself was opened.
Inside, a baby type of doll wearing several diapers was found and Gordon was taken into custody.
Given the pattern of his past behaviour, Keyes found Gordon committed a serious breach of the conditions he had to meet for living in the halfway house.
In all, Gordon was sentenced to 20 months in jail less 165 days credit for time served.
The sentence was issued May 11.
