Mounties in Prince George are calling for witnesses while investigating an early morning collision at a major Prince George intersection.
Police say this morning (March 23), emergency services and Prince George RCMP were called at roughly 4:15 to a report of a single vehicle collision at the intersection of Highway 97 and Highway 16.
RCMP say all three females (which includes the driver) in the full-size pickup truck have sustained serious injuries, with one currently in critical condition.
Police have arrested the driver, a 17-year-old Prince George resident, for Impaired Driving Causing Bodily Harm.
Prince George RCMP's Municipal Traffic Services Section has been called in to lead the investigation.
The intersection was closed for most of this morning but has now been reopened to traffic (10:45 a.m.)
RCMP add the investigation is expected to take some time.
Cpl. Craig Douglass adds they would like to thank members of the public who stopped to help just after the crash occurred, specifically two off-duty nurses that provided initial medical care.
If you have any information about the incident or were a witness, you are asked to call Prince George RCMP at 250-561-3300.
