Hot, sunny days in the forecast for Prince George

There's a chance of rain Sunday and Monday, but then clear skies for the area

Prince George is expected to see a blast of hot, sunny weather in the days ahead.

A mix of sun and cloud is in the forecast for Sunday across much of the region, with a 30 per cent chance of afternoon showers and a risk of thunderstorms. Morning fog patches are expected to dissipate, and winds will shift to the northeast at 20 km/h by the afternoon. The high is expected to reach 23 C, with a UV index of 6, or high.

Partly cloudy skies are expected Sunday night, with a continued 30 per cent chance of showers and possible early-evening thunderstorms. Winds from the northeast at 20 km/h will ease through the evening. The overnight low is forecast at 9 C.

Looking ahead, Monday will bring a mix of sun and cloud, along with a 30 per cent chance of showers and a high of 26 C. The evening will see cloudy periods and a continued chance of showers, with temperatures dipping to 8 C overnight.

Clear skies return Tuesday with sunny conditions and a high of 28 C, continuing into the night with a low of 10 C.

Sunshine dominates the midweek forecast, with sunny skies and a high of 30 C on Wednesday. The night will see cloudy periods and a low of 13 C.

Thursday will bring a mix of sun and cloud and a high of 30 C. The chance of showers returns in the evening, with cloudy periods and a 30 per cent chance of rain and an overnight low of 13 C.

Friday’s forecast calls for a mix of sun and cloud with a high of 28 C.
