Seasonal closures of select city parks and outdoor civic facilities begin Thursday.
The gates at the entrances to Connaught Hill and Nechako Riverside Parks will be closed to vehicular traffic. Crews are also in the process of shutting down for the season the outdoor public washrooms at Duchess and Lheidli T'enneh Memorial Parks.
Masich Place Stadium will continue to be staffed and in use for a few more weeks. The final sporting event will be played on the field on Nov. 14. The track will remain open to the public through Nov. 15, and closed the following day.
All parks and public washrooms will reopen in the spring on a weather-dependent basis.
