Why are we showing you a photo of a rock band with a story about road closures? Because the return of the Crossroads Brewery Summer Street Fest Sept. 6 and 7 will mean some downtown detours. This is The Wild, from Kelowna, performing last year.

From road resurfacing to utility pole replacement, from outdoor concerts to the dismantling of a tower crane, several Prince George roadways will be closed or down to limited lanes in the weeks ahead.

Chief among these is Highway 16 between 20th Avenue and the 16/97 intersection, which will be single-lane traffic again Tuesday for Telus pole replacements.

Fifteenth Avenue work is also continuing, with eastbound and westbound traffic affected.

There will also be closures downtown on Sept. 6 and Sept. 7 for the Crossroads Street Festival.
