RCMP were searching the area of Upper Fraser Road on Saturday, following a report of shots being fired near the intersection with Highway 16 late Friday night.
An RCMP spokesperson said police found evidence someone may have been injured at the scene north of the city, but no victims had been located as of Saturday afternoon. No one had been admitted to the University Hospital of Northern B.C. with gunshot wounds, the spokesperson said.
Police had a section of the road blocked off and the RCMP plane was assisting in the search.
