Schools hit by thieves

Three Prince George portable school classrooms on School District 57 property have been broken into between Nov. 29 and Dec. 4.

RCMP Cpl. Craig Douglass said two break and enters occurred at D.P. Todd secondary and another happened at Heritage elementary.

Douglass said the manner of breaking into the buildings during early morning hours on weekends is the same in each case. The total of stolen goods amounts to more than $10,000 and includes Apple laptop computers, NEC projectors and an extensive amount of property damage has been done.

Police are asking the public's help to identify those responsible for the thefts. Anyone with information is asked to call RCMP at 250 561-3300 or CrimeStoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS.
