School District 57 has posted its restart plan for the 2020-21 school year.
Found at www.sd57.bc.ca, the densely-written 20-page document sets out the policies and procedures principals, teachers and students must follow in answer to the COVID-19 pandemic.
"It provides detailed information about health and safety measures that will be in place so students, teachers and staff feel as safe as possible in our schools," school district officials said in a statement.
"The plan falls within the Provincial COVID-19 Health & Safety Guidelines for K-12 Setting and adheres to the standards and direction set by the Ministry of Education, the Provincial Health Officer, BC Centre for Disease Control and WorkSafe BC."
B.C. Minister of Education Rob Fleming will be providing a public update on B.C.'s back-to-school plans at 1:45 p.m.
In addition, the Prince George District Parent Advisory Council will be holding a "virtual town hall" event on Zoom, starting at 4 p.m.. The event is aimed to answer parents' questions and provide details on what students and parents can expect in September.
