School district funding increased slightly

School District 57 is set to receive a slight increase in its operating grant from the provincial despite a decrease in enrollment, according an estimate released Wednesday by the Ministry of Education.

School District 57 is set to receive a slight increase in its operating grant from the provincial despite a decrease in enrollment, according an estimate released Wednesday by the Ministry of Education.

Based on full-time equivalent of 13,245 students, the school district will receive $120.4 million for 2011-12, up $685,194 from the estimate provided at the same point last year when there were 28 more students.
