The Innovation Central Society is set to host a strategic sales and marketing workshop for upstart entrepreneurs on Feb. 25.

"There are major projects proposed for northern B.C. in the next 10 to 15 years. You've got the capacity, the service, the people and the product. How do you earn a piece of the action?," said ICS executive director Ernest Daddey.

Along with Daddey, the workshop will be led by veteran business-booster coach Ean Jackson of Vancouver's Analytics Marketing Inc.

Daddey said the major agenda items are "benchmark your sales and marketing strategy against best practices, improve your odds of success with proven tools and techniques [and] develop or refine a custom sales and marketing strategy focused on realizing your business goals for 2014 and beyond."

Jackson is one of Western Canada's most compelling experts in marketing and business development, with the ability to speak to entrepreneurs on a practical level about the nuts and bolts of marketplace realities, said Daddey.

"After a brief review of the academic stuff, you'll learn about leading sales and marketing methodologies, strategic partnering, best practices of successful businesses and technology tools that will help you execute faster, better and at a lower cost than your competitors," Daddey said.

Jackson and Daddey will also be available for one-on-one sessions with interested entrepreneurs.

The workshop is limited to 25 participants. Cost is $299 for the first attendee in your firm, $250 for any additional attendees from the same company. Registration information is available through Daddey at [email protected].
