Get ready for a whirlwind of a Friday (Aug. 21), Prince George!
The city is on a severe thunderstorm watch as of 5 a.m. this morning as Environment Canada is calling for thunderstorms and hail later today after showers and clouds in the morning.
Winds will also blow in at 50 km/h, but temperatures will stay warm at a high of 18 C.
If rain is to end, the national service says it will by the evening and reduced to a 40 per cent chance.
The thunderstorm risk will stay in place by bedtime; windy conditions at 50 km/h will also remain.
The overnight low will drop to 10 C.
