It's a good thing most Canada Day events today (July 1) are taking place online this year due to COVID-19.
Environment Canada is calling for rain in the amount of 25 mm by the end of Wednesday, and that's if Prince George doesn't endure a thunderstorm.
A special weather statement remains in effect for the city and it's surrounding areas, which is calling for up to 40 mm by Thursday (July 2).
If a thunderstorm does appear with more rain, we could see an additional 25 mm.
Winds will also blow in at 30 km/h and gust up to 50 depending on the weather pattern drawing in from Alberta.
The high for today could reach 15 C, while the lowest temperature will stay in the double-digits at 10 C.
