Keep the snow shovels close and bundle up, Prince George!

Environment Canada says we could be getting up to 25 cm of new snowfall in the city overnight (Dec. 6) and carrying over into the weekend.

According to the agency, a frontal system is heading north to our region, which means the rate of snowfall will increase as early as the afternoon.

There's a 60 per cent chance of flurries in the morning amidst a cloudy sky, followed by northerly winds in the afternoon at 20 km/h.

Today's high will reach -6 C, but it'll feel like -9 C with the wind chill.

The expected low is -16 C.
