The thunder roared last night (Aug. 8), but Prince George appeared to dodge another potential summer storm.

As a result, today's (Aug. 9) Friday forecast is calling for mainly cloudy skies all day long and not clearing up until dinner time.

According to Environment Canada, wind is expected to blow north at 20 km/h and reaching up to 40 by Noon.

There's no humidity on the radar for today as temperatures will rise to 19 C and will drop as low as 8 C overnight.

Yesterday's severe thunderstorm warning for the northern part of the city lasted nearly two hours (6:45 to 8:40 p.m.)
