Environment Canada has ended its dust advisory for Prince George.

The special weather statement had been in effect since Friday (March 29) at 9 a.m.

However, if you are still experiencing symptoms such as eye or throat irritation, chest discomfort, shortness of breath, cough or wheezing, you are to follow the advice of your health care provider.

The start of the week will bring more sunshine and some more dust.

The high will reach up to 9 C  during the day and tonight we'll get a clear sky and low of -2 C.

However, there's also a dust advisory in effect for Prince George due to a high concentration of particulate matter in the air which will remain in effect until further notice.

Exposure to particulate matter is particularly a concern for infants, the elderly and those who have diabetes, and lung or heart disease. So anyone with chronic underlying medical conditions should postpone strenuous exercise near busy roads until the advisory is lifted.

If you are experiencing symptoms such as continuing eye or throat irritation, chest discomfort, shortness of breath, cough or wheezing, follow the advice of your health care provider.

Real-time air quality observations and information regarding the health effects of air pollution can be found at www.bcairquality.ca
