The last online poll asked local residents, "Should backyard chickens be allowed within city limits?"
Feathers appear to be ruffled as the resounding majority said "No, they stink and make too much noise," with 44 per cent of the vote for a total of 373 votes.
On the opposite end, 28 per cent clucked that "Yes, people should be allowed to do what they want on their property," for a total of 241 votes.
Some thought the answer lies in consulting the flock to say, "Yes, if the neighbours aren't complaining," for 19 per cent and 163 votes.
And dragging their tail feathers was, "No, they'll attract bears," with nine per cent of the vote for a total of 73 votes.
There was 850 votes, and that's something to crow about.
Remember, this is not a scientific poll.
Next poll question is about chicks of a different feather.
