One of two horses abandoned in McBride by lawyer Frank Mackay in the fall of 2008 will lead McBride's Pioneers Day Parade this Saturday.
Belle, a three-year-old mare, will follow proudly behind RCMP and the Elks and Royal Purple at the head of the parade, which goes down main street Saturday at 10 a.m. After, she'll be in the Village so people can meet her and take photos.
The parade is part of the annual McBride Adventure Weekend. A complete schedule of events is available at www.mcbrideadventure.com.
