The city is looking for feedback on their 2011 highlight reel.
As part of the Community Charter, the municipality is required to provide a report that includes audited annual financial statements, a record of tax exemptions they've permitted, an overview of services and operations, a report outlining progress on various projects and goals and a statement of measures to determine progress for 2012.
The report will be considered by city councillors at their June 18 meeting and residents are invited to provide comments.
"So they might have a comment, they might have a question or some advice about something that's written in the annual report," said city spokesperson Chris Bone. "It's really just an opportunity for people to react and respond to the highlights that were set about in 2011 and the plans for the 2012-2013 fiscal year that we're currently in."
But the meeting is not a public hearing dedicated to the report, though there is opportunity for residents to attend the 6 p.m. meeting in council chambers at City Hall and be a recognized as part of the gallery.
"But certainly, it would be preferred if people could provide comment in advance of the committee of the whole meeting and then the committee could consider that as part of its deliberations on the 18th," Bone said.
Advance comments can be submitted to Bone, the mayor or the councillors, she said.
The annual report is available on the city's website - www.princegeorge.ca - under the Frequently Visited Pages column or at City Hall.
