The Recycling and Environmental Action Planning Society is receiving $26,000 from the provincial government's community gaming grant program.

REAPS promotes waste reduction in the Fraser-Fort George Regional District though various forms of community outreach and public awareness, including programs in the schools, garden workshops, and other educational initiatives, where people can learn about composting, recycling, vermicomposting and organic gardening. The grant is awarded under the program's environment category.
