Prince George Recycling and Environment Action Planning Society (REAPS) is receiving $26,000, thanks to a grant from the community gaming grant program.
The money will be applied to the organization's community and outreach programs, executive director Terry McClymont said.
REAPS works to reduce waste and offers community outreach and public awareness initiatives, including programs in schools, garden workshops and other educational initiatives that give people the chance to learn about environmental practices, including composting, recycling and organic gardening.
