In the last online reader poll we asked when should Stephen Harper call the next federal election? This fall (following the fixed-date elections act) took a convincing 49 per cent of the vote, for a total of 484 votes.

This fall (following the fixed-date elections act) took a convincing 49 per cent of the vote, for a total of 484 votes.

This spring (forget the act, it's time to vote!) took 13 per cent of the vote for a total of 133 votes.

Right away (it's time to vote now!) took 21 per cent of the vote for a total of 208 votes.

Make it a five-year term and do it in 2016 took 17 per cent of the vote for a total of 166 votes.

The total votes cast was 991.

Remember, this is not a scientific poll.
