Prince George RCMP apprehended a baker's dozen of impaired drivers over the holiday season.
Five were issued 90-day license suspensions and saw their vehicles impounded for 30 days, five were issued three-day license suspensions with a three-day impoundment and three were issued 24-hour suspensions over concern alcohol or drugs were affecting their ability to drive.
The count is down from 25 apprehended over the same period last year.
There were no serious injury or fatal crashes within city limits during December, although one person was killed in a collision on Highway 16 about 20 kilometres west of the city.
"The Prince George RCMP would like to thank all those who made the right decision to get a safe ride home this holiday season," RCMP said and urged drivers to continue the trend in January by slowing down and driving according to conditions.
"Give yourself extra time to get to your destination," RCMP said.
