RCMP release sketch of sexual assault suspect

Prince George RCMP have provided this forensic sketch of a man suspected of sexually assaulting a woman near Fourth Avenue and George Street early Sunday morning.

Police are asking the public for help identifying a man suspected of sexually assaulting a woman in downtown Prince George on Sunday, July 2.

Prince George RCMP were called to investigate after the woman was accosted by a stranger near the 400 block of George Street at about 2:30 a.m. that day.

Police have released a forensic sketch of the male suspect.

He is described as being about 35 years old, between five-foot-nine and six feet (175-183 centimetres) tall and weighing between 190 and 200 pounds (86-90 kilograms). He has a slim build and his hair is in tight braids with dyed blonde tips.

He also had a short goatee beard and was wearing two earrings in one ear.

At the time of the assault, he was wearing a red polka dot shirt.
