Prince George RCMP are investigating a homicide after the body of a woman was found early Saturday morning in an apartment near the downtown core.
Police were called to the apartment building in the 2000 block of 20th Avenue and arrived at around midnight, where they found a woman in her mid-30s dead at the scene.
“We’re currently investigating the homicide and it’s in it’s infancy,” said RCMP Staff Sgt. Chris Riddle. “I can confirm it was a female. There will be more details released once we can provide them.”
RCMP remain at the crime scene.

This is the fifth homicide in the city this year.
