Prince RCMP's municipal traffic section uncovered 24 violations when it kicked off the summer CounterAttack program against impaired driving on June 27.

They included three 90-day immediate roadside prohibitions, with the vehicles impounded for 30 day, one 24-hour suspension for drugs, one prohibited driver, two unsafe vehicles removed from the road, seven defective vehicles and 10 other motor vehicle violations.

"The Prince George Detachment will continue to conduct both conventional and unconventional impaired driver enforcement throughout the summer CounterAttack campaign," RCMP said.

"RCMP urge those persons that choose to celebrate this summer by drinking alcohol, to do so without driving. Call a taxi, take the bus or use a designated driver."

Those who see someone driving while impaired are urged to call 911 immediately.
