Quesnel area firms robbed

Quesnel RCMP are investigating three separate break and enters at area businesses, committed during the early morning hours over the weekend. Two were committed in a less-than 90-minute span early Saturday morning. At 4:07 a.m.

Quesnel RCMP are investigating three separate break and enters at area businesses, committed during the early morning hours over the weekend.

Two were committed in a less-than 90-minute span early Saturday morning.

At 4:07 a.m., police responded to an alarm to an industrial business in the 1100 block of Highway 97 where they found a quantity of chainsaws had been stolen.

Then, at 5:22 a.m., they were called to a business at the 4000 block of Edwards Road in Kersley, about 25 km south on Highway 97, where liquor was stolen.

And on Monday at 5:47 a.m., they were called to a business at the 400-block of McLean Street to find a large quantity of sunglasses were stolen.

Forensic evidence has been seized and is going through analysis, police said Monday.

They are also asking anyone who may have seen something suspicious at any of those locations at those times to call Quesnel RCMP at 250-992-9211 or Crime Stoppers at 1(800) 222-TIPS (8477).
