The traffic light standard at the corner of 17th and Queensway was being replaced today, Wednesday, June 4, at about 9 a.m. after it was knocked down at about 6 a.m. on Friday, May 16.
At that time the eye witness to the incident said the truck took the turn too fast and its moose bumper took out the traffic light that oddly enough was still lit as it lay on the sidewalk.
Since the incident, the intersection has been a four-way stop that impedes the busy flow of traffic during peak times.
The light was expected to be fully operational later Wednesday.
