Four local groups are among those that have received community gaming grant funding for public safety initiatives, the provincial government said this week.
The Prince George Regional Highway Rescue Society received $60,000, Prince George Search and Rescue Society $47,000, Prince George Crime Stoppers Association $8,000 and Prince George Amateur Radio Club $7,500.
Eligible organizations include volunteer fire departments, search and rescue groups, crime stoppers associations, marine rescue societies and community justice centres.
