Province gives PGX funding boost

The Prince George Exhibition is heading into its centennial season with an extra spring in its step thanks to a $30,000 bounce from the province, bringing the B.C. government's total contribution to $100,000 for the fair.

The Prince George Exhibition is heading into its centennial season with an extra spring in its step thanks to a $30,000 bounce from the province, bringing the B.C. government's total contribution to $100,000 for the fair. Earlier in the summer, the PGX received a $70,000 grant.

The Prince George Agricultural and Historical Association received the substantial Community Gaming Grant grant Tuesday from the Ministry of Community, Sport and Cultural Development.

This latest round of funding was part of more than $3.6 million doled out across the province to 146 recipients.
