Commuters are being challenged to take to the pedals during Bike to School and Work Week.
And one lucky bike rider will win a trip to Portugal. Information on how to participate can be found at www.biketowork.ca/prince-george.
The city is also participating by footing the transit bill for anyone carrying a bike helmet.
And local businesses are hosting celebration stations throughout the week:
Tuesday: 6:45 -9:15 a.m. Ave Maria/Handsome Cabin Boy Tattoo; 3:45-6 p.m., Ruckus.
Wednesday: 6:45-9:15 a.m. Koops Bike Shop; 3:45-6 p.m. Pidherny Trails.
Thursday: 6:45-9:15 a.m. CNC
Friday :6:45-9:15 a.m. Two Rivers Gallery
A "wine down" party will be held on Friday at Northern Estates Winery, 4:30-7 p.m.
