Tonight a new City of Prince George council will sit around the horseshoe.
The inaugural meeting of the newly elected city council takes place tonight at city hall.
Newly elected councillors Kyle Sampson and Cori Ramsay will join incumbents Mayor Lyn Hall, and councillors Frank Everitt, Garth Frizzell, Murray Krause, Terri McConnachie, Susan Scott and Brian Skakun for the first meeting since the Oct. 20 election.
It’s a short agenda for the first meeting of the new council, but the group will go over the official election results, set the 2019 Council meeting calendar, appoint acting mayors, and appoint municipal directors to the Regional District of Fraser Fort. George.
If you can’t attend the 6 p.m. council meeting, you can livestream it from the comfort of your own home, and if you’re too busy to watch it, you can come back and check it out later. The city archives all livestreams. And if you don't want video, you can always check back in with PrinceGeorgeMatters.com for the latest on city council.
