Smoky sky bulletin rescinded

Statements for Prince George, Stuart-Nechako, Peace, Fort Nelson, McGregor, and Williston areas no longer in effect

Environment Canada has rescinded a smoky sky bulletin issued earlier today.

"Smoke is no longer expected or has moved out of the area," the agency said in a statement issued shortly after 11:30 a.m.

The bulletin had included included the Prince George and Stuart-Nechako areas.  from Highway 16 from Bednesti to Upper Fraser, and Highway 97 from Hixon to the south end of McLeod Lake.

Statements for  the Peace, Fort Nelson, McGregor, and Williston are also no longer in effect.
