Police are looking for witnesses to a Tuesday night stabbing that occurred on 20th Avenue. On June 14 just before 2:30 a.m. frontline police officers received a report of a man who was stabbed outside of a business on the 1500-block of 20 Avenue.

When police arrived at the location they found a 35-year-old man suffering from several stab wounds. Police provided first aid to the man, who was then transported to hospital by B.C. Ambulance Services.

"Investigators are looking to speak with anyone who was in the area and witnessed the event," states Cpl. Jennifer Cooper, Media Relations officer for the Prince George RCMP. "We are hoping they can provide us with information on the suspect, who is described as a shorter man wearing a hat, jeans and a dark sweater."

The victim is currently still in hospital and this file remains under investigation.

Police do not believe there is a connection between this incident and the investigation into a fatal stabbing on June 11 that occurred on Queensway.

The Prince George RCMP have also identified the victim in the fatal Queensway stabbing as 28-year-old Devon Lindstrom.
