Mounties in Prince George are looking for more possible victims in the case of an alleged sexual offender.

Cpl. Craig Douglass says the RCMP's Sex Crimes Unit began an investigation into sexual offences committed against a girl under 16 years old after receiving a complaint from the public on Nov. 29.

The next day (Nov. 30), police executed a warrant in the 900-block, Victoria St. and arrested 35-year-old Kevin James Belcourt.

The B.C. Prosecution Service has approved the following charges against Belcourt:

  • Child luring (two counts)
  • Making sexually explicit material to a child (two counts)
  • Sexual interference
  • Distributing child pornography
  • Failing to comply with prohibition order
  • Failing to comply with probation orders

He remains in police custody.

Douglass says the charges are related to the alleged offences against the one youth, but police are releasing Belcourt's information and photo to the public in an effort to determine if there are more victims.

Police believe he communicated via Snapchat, which turned into several in-person meetings.

Belcourt communicated on the app under names including 'Emily Mojo,' 'James Biggs' and 'Eddy100.'

Anyone that had contact with these accounts and/or Belcourt between July 2019 and Nov. 30, 2019, are asked to contact the Prince George RCMP's Sex Crimes Unit at 250-561-3300.
