Police a searching for a man who robbed a business armed with a hatchet.

On Saturday (Oct. 5) at about 7:15 a.m., the Prince George RCMP received a report of a robbery at a business near the intersection of First Avenue and Tabor Boulevard.

Police say a lone male entered the business, produced a hatchet and demanded cash. The suspect then fled on foot with a small amount of cash.

Police have not been able to locate the suspect so far, but he is described as:

  • Male
  • Brown eyes
  • Slim build
  • Wearing a “Billabong” hoodie, blue jeans, black toque and a scarf over his face

The employee of the business cooperated and was not physically injured.
