The long weekend kept the Prince George RCMP busy with police officers responding to 374 calls for service over the three days, up from 350 over the same period last year.
The matters included arson, robbery and an indecent act:
- Quentin Tyler John, born in 1986, remained in custody on Tuesday on suspicion fo threatening staff with a knife at a store in the 2400 of block Ferry Avenue. He has been charged with possessing a weapon for a dangerous purpose and four counts of breaching probation.
- Allegedly found driving a stolen vehicle, Tannen Rory William Herman, born in 2000, remains on custody on counts of possessing stolen property, wilfully resisting or obstructing a peace officer, driving while disqualified under the Criminal Code and two counts of breaching probation.
- RCMP are combing through images from surveillance cameras located in the 2700 block of Vanier Drive in a search for two youths suspected of demanding a man's keys and money while threatening him with a knife. The man was not injured in the attempted robbery.
- A youth was arrested after reportedly threatening staff at a 100-block Tabor Boulevard liquor store with a knife. The youth was later released to his guardian on an undertaking with a future court date.
- A suspect was arrested following a report of a man breaking into a travel trailer inside a compound at a 905-block Hart Highway business. Charges remain pending.
- RCMP are on the lookout for a suspect known to police and wanted on two unendorsed warrants following a report of a vehicle arson.
- A man was arrested on suspicion of performing an indecent act near a bus stop in the 3100 block of Massey Drive. He was later released on an undertaking with a future court date.
- A man wanted on four warrants was located and arrested without incident in a camper on the Takla Forest Service Road.
- Two people escaped with minor injuries when they were ejected from their vehicle during a crash on Highway 16 West by Lower Mud River Road. The driver was issued a 24-hour driving prohibition as well as several violation tickets.
- Two overdue fishermen were located safe and sound after spending a night out in the bush in the Blackwater area.
