If you're thinking of driving impaired, don't think you won't get caught.

This past weekend (Dec. 1 and Dec. 2), Mounties in Prince George were conducting roadblocks and traffic stops as part of a CounterAttack blitz.

The Prince George RCMP also had mobile patrols targeting impaired drivers. In total, four impaired drivers were taken off the road, six vehicles were impounded and 36 violation tickets were issued.

"The Prince George RCMP wants to thank all of those who made the correct choice to get a safe ride home and to those who demonstrated patience during the roadblocks," Sgt. Matthew LaBelle of the Prince George RCMP says in a press release.

Police are reminding the public to plan for a safe ride home with a friend, taxi or programs such as Operation Red Nose, which provided 127 free rides on the same weekend.
