Police are asking for help to identify the suspect and three witnesses in a recent shooting in Prince George.

Just before 6:30 a.m. on Saturday (Nov. 23), Mounties responded to a report of a man with a single gunshot wound at an Irwin Street home.

Frontline officers attended and spoke with the victim, who was then transported to hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.

The scene of the shooting was determined to be in the parking lot of a local credit union on the corner of Central Street and Fifth Avenue in Prince George.

Surveillance of the incident has been obtained and investigators are releasing images in an effort to identify the suspect and witnesses.

The male suspect in the above photo was wearing a dark Adidas jacket with a hood, black pants, dark shoes and a red ball cap with a white logo.

He was also wearing a distinctive dark backpack with a light coloured back panel.

One female and two males were in the parking lot at the time of the incident (seen in featured image).

The woman was with the suspect at the time of the incident and is described as thin with long blonde hair, wearing a black hoody, black ball cap, light coloured pants and Adidas shoes.

The first male was wearing dark pants, a grey Crooks & Castles brand hoody and was carrying a duffle bag, while the other was wearing blue jeans, a grey hoody, a light blue ball cap, had a duffle bag strapped over his shoulder and was riding a BMX bicycle.

Police would like to speak to the suspect and the witnesses, and urge them to come forward and speak to investigators.

RCMP believe this incident was not random and occurred as a result of a disagreement between the victim and the suspect.
