Prince George RCMP are investigating a suspicious incident, where a man in a red pick-up approached a child.
Police say on Friday, Jan. 18 at approximately 4 p.m., a pre-teen boy was walking alone near the intersection of 17 Ave and Victoria Street when he was approached and spoken to by a man.
He was said to be driving an older, red, two-door rusty pick-up.
The boy ran to a safe place, however, police were not immediately called, adding patrols for the vehicle and driver were negative.
The man is described as:
· white
· approximately 168 cm (5'6")
· heavy build
· short hair
· wearing sandals, jeans, and a black hoody
Police say the investigation into this incident is continuing and they would like to speak to the driver.
