Mounties in Prince George seized drugs, cash, stolen I.D. and other items during a search warrant at the home of a recent scene involving attempted murder.

Cpl. Craig Douglass says officers from the Prince George RCMP Downtown Safety Unit performed a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act search warrant at a home on 1200 block, 5 Ave

Douglass says two women were arrested without incident upon arrival and investigators found fentanyl, cocaine, methadone, drug trafficking paraphernalia and cash inside the home.

Two BB guns, a pellet gun, various tools, stolen personal I.D. were also seized by officers.

The 28-year-old woman and 35-year-old woman were both released pending further investigation and charge approval from the Federal Prosecution Service of Canada.

The home is also at the heart of an attempted murder investigation after a report of an aggravated assault on May 3, 2020.

A man was the victim of a shooting and suffered non-life threatening injuries.

Douglass says the investigation is now being treated as attempted murder and is being led by the Prince George RCMP Serious Crime Section.

The incident was targeted and related to the drug trade.
