Prince George Tim Hortons restaurants sold more than 43,000 Smile Cookies this year!

That translates to $43,810 raised for the Spirit of the North Healthcare Foundation, beating last year’s amount raised by over $1,000.

Tim Hortons has been donating Smile Cookie funds to the Spirit of the North since 2002.

This means Tim Hortons is able to give to pediatrics at the University Hospital of Northern BC (UHNBC), which saw a donation of $42,142.42 in 2019.

Nationally, Canadians helped set a new record by raising $10.56 million during Tim Hortons' 2020 Smile Cookie Campaign.

Timmy's and its restaurant owners will donate 100 per cent of the proceeds to over 550 charities, hospitals and community programs across the country.

"We were absolutely blown away by the generosity of Canadians for our annual Smile Cookie campaign," says Tim Hortons Chief Marketing Officer Hope Bagozzi.

In 2019, the campaign raised $9.8 million.

"We were able to surpass the amount of donations raised in 2019 by roughly $760,000, which really is astounding."
