In a normal year, the Prince George Public Library (PGPL) provides in-person tutors for local students that need some help with their education.

However, because COVID-19 is continuing to limit gatherings, its free program, known as ‘Homework Help,’ will be shifting to online starting after Thanksgiving for the 2020-21 school calendar year.

As of Oct. 13, Math and English tutors will be available one hour each week for students in grades three to 12, and registration will be limited to 36 spots.

‘Homework Help’ is primarily funded by Prince George’s Kiwanis Club each year as well as proceeds from the PGPL’s annual Skate for Literacy event, grants and other forms of fundraising.

The sessions will be done over Zoom conference calls.

For more information, you can visit the PGPL’s website.
