Two local educational facilities are joining forces in providing another fun activity for kids this summer.

The Prince George Public Library (PGPL) and the Central BC Railway and Forestry Museum have partnered for an interactive, self-guided adventure that is accessible through the GeoTourist app while visiting the museum.

It supports children's early learning literacy development through songs, rhymes and other place-based activities designed for children from birth to nine years old.

While on the walk, kid-friendly facts about the museum's exhibits are set to be unveiled, along with a list of book recommendations.

The GeoTourist app uses the exact location of a user which enables them to access auto-play guided audio tours on their smartphone.

To participate, you have to downtown the app from https://geotourist.com or through your app on your phone.

Once inside the app search, you will look for 'Storytime Walk at the Prince George Railway and Forestry Museum.'

The library and museum recommend downloading the tour before leaving home, so you don't use up large amounts of data.

You can take part in the tour whenever the museum is open. Entry is free during the summer for families that show museum staff the GeoTourist app on their smartphone.

This is the second program of the library's adventures with Nature Walk Storytime taking place this past May.

The walk is also available through the GeoTourist app.
