On Nov. 6, less than three per cent of Prince George had sent their proportional representation ballot to Elections B.C., but as of today (Nov. 16), there has been a small shift in ballots sent back.
Prince George-Mackenzie sits at 10.7 per cent with 3,547 votes cast out of a registered 33,083 voters in the area while Prince George-Valemount is at 11.3 per cent with 3,919 ballots cast out of a registered 34,573 voters.
The two highest communities to date are on Vancouver Island and in Kamloops. Courtenay-Comox has returned 16.6 per cent of their ballots while Kamloops-South Thompson has sent back a total of 16 per cent.
Elections B.C. has received 597,300 packages so far (an 18 per cent return). This does not include ballots received by Canada Post but not yet transferred to Elections B.C.
If you still have not received a voters package, contact Elections B.C. online or call 1-800-661-8683 Monday to Friday, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.; or Saturday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. You have until midnight on Nov. 23 to request one.
You can also visit a Referendum Service Office or Service B.C. Centre. These locations also accept completed ballots.
