Registered charity Advokate is launching its "Give the Gift of Life" campaign this month, seeking the community’s help to support vulnerable women and low-income families, with a focus on single and expecting mothers.

“While many families are excitedly preparing for the holidays and looking forward to the new year, many others are feeling hopeless, alone, and fearing uncertainty,” writes the charity in a press release.

“With this Give the Gift of Life Campaign, we hope to make this season extra special for the women and families we serve. No one should have to face the uncertainties of pregnancy by themselves, especially at Christmas,” added Jared White, Executive Director of Advokate.

The goal of the campaign is simple – to raise funds and awareness to help women and families in need.

Advokate’s Hope for Women Pregnancy Services Centre, offers free and confidential services including counselling, recreational ultrasounds, maternity and baby supplies, housing support, postpartum support, post-abortion care, and more.
