Numerous police resources have been brought in to investigate after police found one person dead after being called to a Prince George home for an "unknown disturbance."

RCMP Spokesperson Cst. Jennifer Cooper says police received a report at roughly 4:45 a.m. today (April 10) of an unknown disturbance at a residence on 1100-block Prince George Pulpmill Road.

Cooper says when police arrived, they found one person dead.

The investigation is in its early stages. The Serious Crimes Unit and Forensic Identification Services have been brought in to help.

Police believe the incident is isolated and there is no risk to the public, with witnesses and those living at the residence cooperating with police.

Cooper says investigators would also like to speak to anyone else who witnessed the incident.

Anyone with more information is asked to call Prince George RCMP at 250-561-3300.
