A Prince George man is dead after a two-vehicle collision earlier this week.

On Thursday (Aug. 20) at roughly 9:30 p.m., Williams Lake RCMP responded to a two-vehicle crash on Highway 97 south of McLeese Lake.

A northbound Honda CR-V crossed into the southbound lane and collided with a Ford F350 which was also pulling a cargo box trailer.

The driver of the CR-V was an 84-year-old Prince George man who was pronounced dead at the scene.

The passenger inside the vehicle with him and the driver of the ford went to the hospital for treatment of minor injuries.

The investigation is ongoing and factors have not yet been determined, but police believe alcohol isn't involved.

The BC Coroners Service has also been brought in and is conducting a parallel investigation to find the cause of death.

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call Williams Lake RCMP at 250-392-6211.
