Prince George's final sidewalk upgrades of the year are underway and should be completed this month.

The city says work is now being done on the sidewalk on Avison Place form Davis Road to the end of the street, and Davis Road from Ospika Boulevard to Barnes Drive.

Earlier this week, a road rehabilitation project on Range Road from Westwood Drive to Highway 16 was completed.

According to the city, 2020's road and sidewalk rehabilitation schedule included 41 lane-kilometres of road and 2.5 kilometres of sidewalk.

The largest road project of the year was a three-kilometre section on Bellamy Road in the Hart Neighbourhood, while the largest sidewalk operation involved the rehabilitation of the asphalt sidewalk on Patricia Boulevard from Queensway to Taylor Drive.

Sidewalk operations are also underway on Highland Drive from Glenngarry Road to Vellencher Road.

Both projects are also scheduled to be completed by the middle of October.

The city says additional sidewalk operations will be added should conditions and resources allow.
